Developers brought 1.969GW of wind capacity and 549MW of solar capacity into commercial operation in January through June.
Cumulative additions for all power generation sources was 3.888GW, with natural gas the other significant contributor with 1.17GW.
June additions were 320MW for wind and 62MW for solar.
FERC in its Energy Infrastructure Update says first half 2014 wind additions were 884MW and 1.4GW
