Smaller wind turbine manufacturers face an uncertain future after seeing their market positions squeezed even harder by the world’s ‘big five’ last year, said research group Wood Mackenzie.

Germany-based Senvion, India’s Suzlon and Inox, Chinese group XEMC and Brazil’s WEG were listed among those under pressure after losing ground in 2019.

Wood Mackenzie said the regional players “lost market share due to challenging market conditions.
