'Sixty percent reduction': Vestas and Hempel link to cut CO2 in wind turbine treatment

Wind OEM giant Vestas is linking with global coatings specialist Hempel in a bid to cut the CO₂ footprint of surface protection treatments used on turbines.

The two Denmark-based groups will kick-off their joint push “to reduce surface treatment costs and support sustainable coating solutions” for new turbines with a project relating to production at Vestas’ turbine tower plant in Colorado in the US.
