Enerjisa, a joint-venture between Turkey’s Sabanci Holdings and Austria’s Verbund, estimates the price tag of the wind farm will be €37m ($49.7m).
The Çanakkale wind farm, which will produce around 90 gigawatt hours of electricity per year, is the first step in Enerjisa’s target of having 185MW of installed wind capacity by 2015. Construction will begin at the end of 2009, and the wind farm is scheduled to be fully operational by the middle of 2010.
