Tillsonburg, about 170km from the capital of the Canadian province, will see the German manufacturer move into an existing, 35-year old facility and invest more than C$20m ($19.9m) to outfit it for the production of blades up to 52 metres in length for its 2.3MW turbines.
It is the second wind turbine factory announcement in as many days for the Canadian province, which has enacted stringent local-content requirements as part of its attractive renewable energy incentive programme.
