Toronto-based Brookfield Renewable Power, part of Canadian asset management giant Brookfield, once again chose Siemens’ 2.3MW model – its best-selling turbine, having sold more than 3,000 globally.
Comber will be Brookfield’s third wind farm in Ontario, having already used Siemens’ 2.3MW machines at the recently commissioned 50MW Gosfield project, also in Essex County.
The order “helps us strengthen our leading position on the Canadian wind power market”, says Jens-Peter Saul, chief executive of Siemens wind.
