Siemens Gamesa wrapped up its acquisition of assets from insolvent turbine OEM Senvion with the purchase of Ria Blades and its production plant in Portugal.
The deal for Ria and its onshore blade plant in Vagos was the last step for Siemens Gamesa’s purchase of €200m ($219m) of selected Senvion assets, which also included a 9GW onshore service fleet and a selection of intellectual property.
