Siemens Gamesa, Swedish developer Arise and investment firm Foresight Group are planning to use the OEM’s 6.6MW onshore wind giants for the Kölvallen project in Sweden.
The 277MW array in central Sweden is due to be installed in early 2025, and is slated to feature 41 units of the manufacturer’s 6.6-170 model, and one SG 6.6-155 turbine.
The wind project is close to the 231MW Skaftåsen project led by the same consortium that is currently being installed, which was the first to use Siemens Gamesa’s 5.X
