Siemens Gamesa has won an order to supply 26 of its 5.0-145 turbines to Warren Buffett-owned Berkshire Hathaway Energy Canada for the holding company’s 130MW Rattlesnake Ridge wind farm in Alberta.
The project southwest of Medicine Hat will be one of the first subsidy-free wind farms in the North American country when it is commissioned, which is scheduled for 2022.
