Siemens Gamesa has won its first firm offshore wind order in Japan, for an 112MW project off the northern island of Hokkaido.
The OEM is slated to supply 14 of its SG 8.0-167 DD turbines for the Ishikari project from Pattern Energy unit Green Power Investment at some five kilometres off Ishikari Bay near Sapporo. The order comes with a 15-year service agreement.
