The Covid-19 pandemic had a negative impact of €56m ($60.6m) on the profitability of Siemens Gamesa and contributed to the wind turbine OEM posting a loss in the second quarter of its financial year that ended in March.
The virus outbreak further intensified challenges in the German-Spanish company’s onshore wind business, mainly in the Indian market and over execution of projects in Northern Europe.
