Siemens Gamesa has won an order to supply two wind projects with a combined capacity of 325MW in the US state of Texas with 5MW turbines - a power rating that is unusually high for the region.
Deliveries to the undisclosed customer of 65 of the manufacturer’s SG 5.0-145 machines are expected to start in the summer of next year, with commissioning planned at the end of 2021.
