Siemens Gamesa preferred supplier for 455MW Japan offshore wind

Siemens Gamesa has won its first preferred supplier status for an offshore wind project in Japan by Obayashi Corp., for the 455MW Northern Akita offshore wind project in the northern region of Tohoku.

It is also the first supplier deal for any large commercial-scale offshore wind project in the Asian country.

The German-Spanish OEM is slated to supply SG 8.0-167
