Wind OEM Siemens Gamesa has named Alfonso Faubel as its new onshore business CEO.
Faubel – who currently holds senior roles at digital data specialist Sentient Science – joins Siemens Gamesa from 29 July. He is a former senior vice president of the Alstom Wind business.
Faubel replaces Mark Albenze, who took the post on a temporary basis in addition to his regular role as Service CEO following the departure last October of previous onshore CEO Ricardo Chocarro.
Siemens Gamesa CEO Markus Tacke said of Faubel: “His broad industry experience will support the onshore business unit in addressing the challenging environment and continuing to deliver value to our customers.”
