The Covid-19 pandemic will likely hit the results of Siemens Gamesa during the remainder of its financial year as the lockdown in India has been extended and factories in Mexico are now also being affected, the wind turbine maker’s chief executive Markus Tacke said.

“Looking at the implications from corona, I would assume that the direct impact for the rest of the year might be in order of magnitude seen in the second quarter,” Tacke said at a press call on the company’s results in the second quarter of its financial year that ended in March.
