Siemens Gamesa took the wraps off the latest addition to its turbine range that features a 155-metre rotor aimed at boosting output from low-wind sites and borrowing technology from another platform in its arsenal.
The SG 4.7-155 joins the OEM’s 4.X range with a nominal rating of 4.7MW, but can operate between 4MW and 5MW depending on site conditions.
