Siemens Wind Power will start operations from its Hamburg HQ on 1 October, with new chief executive Felix Ferlemann taking over from Jens Peter Saul.

Siemens says its wind power division – newly split-off from the German group’s other renewable energy activities – will operate under three regional business units each headed by a chief executive.

Europe, the Middle East and Africa, plus the European offshore market, will continue to be managed from Brande and will be led by Jan Kjaersgaard, formerly responsible for Siemens’ wind power business in the Americas.
