Burntisland Fabrications (BiFab) has gone into administration following the Scottish government’s decision to remove offshore wind contract assurances from the ailing yards, exposing what unions described as “the myth of Scotland’s renewables revolution after a decade of political hypocrisy and failure”.
In a statement confirming an earlier exclusive Recharge story, BiFab’s board said “the company has worked tirelessly to bring jobs into Fife and Lewis with some success.
