Massachusetts has approved 20-year contracts for power from 804MW of offshore wind capacity between the Mayflower Wind joint venture and electric distribution companies in the US east coast state.

Mayflower, a 50-50 Ocean Winds and Shell New Energies joint venture, will supply power and renewable energy credits (RECs) from its future project at a combined $77.76/MWh price on a nominal levelised basis for both phases, according to the Department of Public Utilities (DPU).
