Shell could jointly develop projects off Spain and Portugal with Iberian developer Capital Energy in the latest push into offshore wind by the oil supermajor.
Capital Energy said it signed an agreement with Shell to look at co-development opportunities “especially in the field of floating offshore wind power”.
Madrid-based Capital Energy has about 2GW of potential offshore wind projects under development and early this year unveiled plans to build projects off the Canary Islands.
