An advocacy group has been launched by industry body RenewableUK to make the case for large-scale deployment of floating wind power off Britain.

The Floating Wind Steering Group, which aims to agree “a consensus vision and the business case for its continued development” of the sector in the UK, is being co-led with Scottish Renewables, and includes representatives from Shell, Equinor, Aker Solutions, Atkins, Global Energy, James Fisher & Sons, Kincardine Offshore Wind, Principle Power and the Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult.
