Norway’s wind industry vowed to fight plans to apply a new wind power production tax to existing as well as future onshore projects in a bid to placate local opponents, condemning the move as “a serious threat to investment security”.
The Norwegian government in its national budget on Tuesday said it will impose a “moderate tax” on wind power output from 2022 at a level yet to be decided, with the proceeds going to areas hosting developments.
