Siemens Gamesa has rebranded with its own name the 9GW-plus in European onshore wind service assets of Senvion, which it bought half a year ago after the insolvency of the embattled German wind turbine manufacturer.

With the rebranding as Siemens Gamesa, the German-Spanish company hopes to expand further into the operation and maintenance business of turbines from rival OEMs, and use the full force of its global financial and marketing power, Peter Fritzsche, the managing director of what now is called Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy Service GmbH, told Recharge.
