A typical 100MW wind farm with a 33% capacity factor would deliver about 290,000MWh a year.
The utility, which gets more than 91% of its electricity from hydroelectric generation, must acquire more renewable resources to comply with Washington state’s voter-approved renewable portfolio standard. The standard requires utilities to get at least 15% of their energy from renewable sources by 2020. Resources developed before 1997 are excluded.
