Formerly a fossil-fuels specialist known as Ramco, in late 2009 the Aberdeen-based firm changed its name and announced it would become the UK’s first publicly listed “pure play” offshore wind developer.

Through an 80%-owned subsidiary, SeaEnergy Renewables (SERL), it nabbed stakes in the 920MW Beatrice and 905MW Inch Cape offshore wind parks offered under the Scottish Territorial Waters round of leasing.
