The wind farm, which will be one of Scotland’s largest when completed, consists of 60 2 MW turbines on a 24 km2 site, and will take two years to complete.
The initial phase of construction will involve laying 65 km of roads and tracks on the site to allow access for the delivery of the 60 turbines. Engineers will also begin the process of laying hundreds of kilometres of cables that will eventually connect the turbines to the power grid.
