The RWE-developed project received final planning consent from East Renfrewshire Council in August 2011.
The Middleton wind farm will consist of 6 turbines with a total capacity of up to 15MW.
The project site is near Newton Mearns, close to the Iberdrola-owned company’s giant Whitelee wind farm.
ScottishPower Renewables anticipates starting construction of the plant in April 2012, with project completion expected in November next year.
