Research by specialist consultancy Everoze identified 10 key areas where downwards pressure on cost of power could be applied in the UK’s onshore wind heartland through action at Scottish and UK government level.
The biggest step change for future projects is to deploy the latest generation of turbine technology – a move Everoze said could deliver an average £11/MWh ($14.30/MWh) of levelised cost-of-energy reductions.
