Scotland 'vision into reality' as largest offshore wind farm puts final turbine in water

Scotland entered the offshore wind big-time as the last of the turbines for its largest project so far – the 950MW Moray East – hit the water.

The one hundredth Vestas V164-9.5MW machine was installed by Fred Olsen Windcarrier’s Blue Tern vessel after what the project team said was “a challenging timescale of a single season in the face of unprecedented global conditions”.
