A “massive disruption” of satellite links that coincided with the Russian invasion of Ukraine has left 5,800 wind turbines in central Europe cut off from remote monitoring and control, said German manufacturer Enercon.
Enercon said the turbines, with a cumulative 11GW of capacity, are operating in automatic mode while the problem is tackled.
