San Francisco-based Salesforce did not name the developer or wind farm, or provide financial details of the deal.
The wind farm will deliver 125,000 MWh of electricity each year, which is more than the company’s data centers will utilize this year.
The wind farm is due to begin commercial operations in December 2016. It will deliver clean energy to the PJM Interconnection, which operates the largest grid in the US.
