Transitioning oil & gas contractor Saipem has signed an agreement to buy the floating wind business of French marine renewables outfit Naval Energies for an undisclosed amount.
The acquisition includes Naval Energies' engineering know-how on floating units, intellectual property rights and approximately thirty resources with expertise in modelling and simulation. The French company had developed a three-columned semisubmersible floating wind design.
