RWE is building what it claims to be the world’s first wind turbines on a sea dike dam, using a climbing crane for the installation due to limited space at the site in the Netherlands.
The Oostpolderdijk wind farm in Eemshaven in the Dutch province of Groningen will consist of three turbines with a combined capacity of 7.5MW and is expected to be operational by the end of this year.
