Global renewables giant RWE confirmed plans to enter the first wave of offshore wind tenders in Japan with local partner Kyuden Mirai.

Germany-based RWE said the two will start preparations for a bid to build a fixed-bottom project in the Yurihonjo City development zone off Akita Prefecture.
