German utility giant RWE will bid in the upcoming auction for new seabed leases in the New York Bight in conjunction with National Grid, as the two begin an alliance to boost their presence in US offshore wind.
RWE Renewables and National Grid – the UK-based power networks and utility giant – will team up for the lease round, which as soon as later this year is due to offer development opportunities for as much as 7.6GW
