Romanian power company Hidroelectrica confirmed to Recharge that it plans to develop what would be the first-ever offshore wind farm in the Black Sea by 2026 after conducting a wind measurement campaign.
“We confirm that Hidroelectrica wants to develop offshore wind farms for electricity production. Their capacity is, at this time, the result of an estimate,” the press office of the state-owned utility told Recharge in an email.
