Jeff Hymas, a utility spokesman, says the $259m project will consist of 74 GE 1.5MW turbines, and construction of an 11-mile transmission line and a new substation. Electricity generated will feed into the grid owned by PacifiCorp, parent company of Rocky Mountain.
The wind farm will be located on a ranch in south-central Wyoming majority owned by Rocky Mountain, the largest generator of wind power in the state.
