Germany’s gross onshore wind additions during the first half stagnated at 977MW, which according to wind groups is only a fraction of the level needed to reach the country’s ambitious target of up to 10GW per year.
As 99MW of wind power was decommissioned, net additions reached 878MW. That brought the cumulative wind capacity on land in Europe’s largest economy to 56.8GW.
