The Hunter’s Hill windfarm is currently under construction near the town of Fintona, in central Northern Ireland. First approved in January 2008, Hunter’s Hill will have a generating capacity of 20MW when it is completed in late 2009.
The farm comprises eight Nordex N80 2.5 wind turbines.
Joe O’Mahony, head of ESB’s wind development arm, says the company intends to build a wind portfolio totalling 600MW by 2012.
