Bush, a son and younger brother of former US presidents, told an agricultural meeting Saturday in Iowa that while he backs expansion of alternative energy sources the wind industry’s ability to compete meant it was time to wind down the PTC.
“It’s now competitive and I think it ought to be phased out over a period of time,” says Bush, whose father, George HW Bush, signed the PTC into law in 1992.
