Last week, Recharge reported that REpower and another German turbine maker, Bard, were both strongly considering setting up factories in the UK within the next few years, adding to their existing facilities in northern Germany.
The German offshore market lags far behind the UK, which recently eclipsed the 1-gigawatt mark thanks to the recently completed Robin Rigg and Gunfleet Sands projects.
