Nordic developer OX2 has applied for an environmental permit for a vast offshore wind project in a strong-wind zone between the Swedish islands of Öland and Gotland in the Baltic Sea.
The project, called Aurora, is the second project for which the Nordic developer has sought a permit, and at about 5.5GW would be by far the largest in the Baltic and one of the biggest single offshore wind projects on the planet.
