Wind turbine manufacturing giant Vestas unveiled plans to close three of its European factories amid changing demand patterns and the ongoing integration of its onshore and offshore operations, placing a question mark over 650 jobs.
Vestas intends to end production at plants in Lauchhammer, Germany, Viveiro in Spain, and Esbjerg in its home market of Denmark, the company said as it began talks with workers' representatives.
