Iberdrola-owned developer Ailes Marine has tapped Italian cable-maker Prysmian for the €80m ($90m) turn-key job of delivering the underway inter-array cable systems for the long-delayed 496MW Saint-Brieuc offshore wind farm off France.

The Milan-headquartered contractor will supply and install 90km of three 66kV high voltage alternating current inter-array cables for the project, which is located 16km off Brittany, with the XLPE-insulated cable cores manufactured at Prysmian’s factories in Montereau-Fault-Yonne and Gron, France, and assembled and finished in Nordenham, Germany.
