For every growing wind energy market, developers and suppliers feel the political heat to demonstrate a positive impact on the local economy, especially jobs. The same is true of all large industrial sectors but the wind industry seems to attract increased attention, perhaps because as a ‘new’ and thriving industry it is seen as an answer to the flagging fortunes of other sectors.
