The Arthur Kill Terminal on Staten Island, New York City, was awarded $48m by the US Department of Transportation (DoT) to support its redevelopment as an offshore wind port ready for gigascale sector growth in the New York Bight.

The 32-acre terminal is being renovated for use as a staging and assembly port by a joint venture of Empire State Development, the economic agency of the state of New York, and privately owned Atlantic Offshore Terminals. The money will be used to finance channel dredging for what is expected to be a $375m project slated for completion in 2025.
