Just as Poland’s government appeared to ease its hostile stance towards wind power, the climate ministry published a new draft energy strategy through 2040 that the industry said contains onshore and offshore targets way below the nation's potential.

As part of the plan called PEP2040 presented after many months of public consultations, Poland would reach 10GW of wind on land by 2030, and then not add any additional capacity, while at sea it would reach only 8-11GW by 2040.
