German developers PNE and Wpd were among the biggest winners in Poland’s 1GW first auction for onshore wind and solar, as well as Polish state-owned utility PGE, showing a healthy international appetite for Polish onshore wind projects.
PNE through its WKN subsidiary was successful with 174MW in capacity, and now can build the 42MW Barwice and the 132MW Jasna wind projects in northern Poland.
