Europe’s main wind lobbying group, WindEurope, is “extremely concerned” about a draft proposal approved by Spain’s cabinet to introduce a levy on windfall profits from power generation from older installations that are not subject to paying rising CO2 prices –among them wind farms.
The measure seen by Recharge would affect installations commissioned before 2005, and lead to a reduction of power bills for households of 4.8%
