PGE to sign up with Orsted 'within weeks' in race for Polish offshore wind leadership

PGE Group is understood to be finalising last details of an agreement with Denmark’s Orsted as the state-owned Polish utility strives to become a leader in the country’s nascent offshore wind sector.

Orsted has been in negotiations with PGE since last year to buy half of its Elektrownia Wiatrowa Baltica 2&3 offshore wind projects, which would have a combined capacity of 2.5GW.
